Heavy Equipment Operator

Heavy equipment operators are responsible for operating excavators, loaders, dozers, skid steers, and other machinery used in excavation, grading, site preparation, utility installation, and demolition projects. Operators play a key role in ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to plan. 

CDL Requirement 

A CDL is not typically required, though experience transporting equipment is beneficial. 

What You'll Do 

• Perform excavation, grading, trenching, and site preparation 
• Operate excavators, loaders, dozers, and skid steers safely and efficiently 
• Read and follow project plans and specifications 
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and maintenance checks 
• Work closely with crew members and project supervisors 
• Maintain a safe and productive job site 
• Assist with utility installation and site development projects 

Ideal Candidate 

• Previous heavy equipment operation experience preferred 
• Safety-minded and detail-oriented 
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance 
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions 
• Team player with a positive attitude 
• Takes pride in producing quality work 
• Willing to continue learning and expanding skills 

Quad-Axle Dump Truck Driver

Quad-axle dump truck drivers are responsible for transporting gravel, sand, stone, topsoil, demolition materials, and equipment to and from project sites. This position is essential to keeping projects moving and ensuring crews have the materials they need to succeed. 

CDL Requirement 

Valid Class A or Class B CDL Required 

What You'll Do 

• Safely operate a quad-axle dump truck 
• Transport materials to and from local job sites 
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections 
• Secure loads and follow DOT regulations 
• Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned equipment 
• Communicate with supervisors and field crews 
• Support efficient project scheduling through dependable deliveries 
• Representing the company professionally with customers and suppliers 

Ideal Candidate 

• Holds a valid CDL license 
• Maintains a strong safety record 
• Dependable, punctual, and professional 
• Strong communication and organizational skills 
• Comfortable working independently 
• Takes pride in equipment and vehicle maintenance 
• Enjoys working as part of a team while managing responsibilities independently

Hydro Excavation Operator 

Hydroexcavation operators use specialized equipment that combines pressurized water and powerful vacuum systems to safely expose underground utilities and perform precision excavation. This highly skilled position plays an important role in protecting underground infrastructure while supporting commercial, municipal, and private projects. 

CDL Requirement 

CDL Preferred and Often Required 

What You'll Do 

• Operate hydro-excavation trucks and equipment 
• Safely expose underground utilities and infrastructure 
• Perform daylighting and utility locating support 
• Follow strict safety and utility protection guidelines 
• Conduct equipment inspections and routine maintenance 
• Work closely with contractors, municipalities, and utility companies 
• Assist with specialized excavation projects requiring precision and care 
• Help protect critical underground infrastructure 

Ideal Candidate 

• Safety-focused and detail-oriented 
• Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving abilities 
• Ability to learn specialized excavation techniques 
• Comfortable working outdoors and in changing conditions 
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
